+ terms & conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the client”) and Barefoot Ember (including All W+E Love) regarding all photography, design, and creative services. By booking, purchasing, or using our services, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agree to the terms below.
+ bookings and payment
A non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking to secure your session or date. Your session is not confirmed until this payment has been received.
The remaining balance is due by the agreed date (usually before your session, or as noted in your invoice). Payment may be made via bank transfer, Square, or another approved method.
+ cancellations and rescheduling
Life happens, and we understand. If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible — ideally 48 hours or more for standard sessions, and 30 days for weddings or events.
If you cancel entirely, your retainer remains non-refundable, but it may be transferred to a new date at our discretion. In the rare case Barefoot Ember must cancel, any fees paid will be refunded in full.
+ weather and circumstances
Outdoor sessions depend on natural conditions. If severe weather, illness, or unforeseen events occur, we’ll work together to reschedule your shoot. Your comfort, safety, and the quality of your experience always come first.
+ image delivery and usage
Final images are delivered via a secure online gallery within the estimated timeframe listed in your booking details (usually 2–6 weeks). Barefoot Ember retains the copyright to all images but grants clients personal usage rights for printing, sharing, and display.
Images may not be edited, sold, or used commercially without written permission.
+ creative rights and portfolio use
Barefoot Ember reserves the right to use selected images for promotional purposes (including portfolio display, social media, website, and marketing materials). If you prefer your images not be shared publicly, please let us know in writing before your session.
+ digital files and archiving
While we keep backups of all final images for a reasonable period, long-term storage is not guaranteed. We recommend downloading and backing up your gallery promptly upon delivery.
+ liability and consent
Barefoot Ember takes every precaution to ensure a safe and professional experience. In booking, you acknowledge that we are not liable for injury, damage, or loss that may occur during your session or while using our website.
+ changes to these terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in policy, law, or business practice. The most current version will always appear on this page.
